Top Social Gainers for Monday, April 15th, 2019

Here are today's biggest developing stories in crypto based on Santiment's data:

DNT (550+ new mentions in the last 24hrs)

DNT's sudden pump

Over the weekend, DNT went from 308 sats to a local high of 426 sats (+38%) with no news or announcements in sight. It eventually topped out and began retracing.

In the weeks prior to this, there were little to no mentions of DNT, the last notable mention was on 29th March. Even so, the latest spike overshadows the # of DNT mentions for the year so far. Interestingly, their twitter followers have been growing since bouncing off 12th Apr.

We also observed pump/signal groups taking advantage of this price rise by claiming to be responsible for it in various telegram channels.

Pump/signal group Telegram spam

Which leaves the question, could it be a coordinated shill attempt?

MFT (383+ new mentions in the last 48hrs)

Mainframe public OS finally launched on 15th Apr. Here's a look at the timeline since it the launch was first announced.

Following the initial announcement on 4th Apr, speculators started to work on the token price but eventually took a dip during the recent market downtrend before bouncing up. During this bounce, speculators were still shilling hard about how the launch will be bringing major gains.

But as usual, token price tends to take a dump post-mainnet launch and this was no different.

remote (64 new mentions in the last 48hrs)

Reddit user u/irwigo posted on r/CryptoCurrency an image on TV remotes illustrating "something crypto has yet to understand". The image compares bulky and complex TV remotes (How Blockchain companies market themselves) with Apple's elegant and simple remote (What users want).

The post has since gathered 4,700+ upvotes and over 283 comments with most of the discussion revolving around:

  • Adoption and how when it arrives, people won't even know they are using crypto.
  • Coinbase's efforts towards mainstream adoption
  • Apple remote controller isn't that great anyways ;p
  • .....Doesn't look like anything to me. (Westworld anyone?)
