Top Social Gainers for weekend of June 1st-2nd, 2019

Here are the weekend's biggest developing stories in crypto based on Santiment's data:

One/harmony (5156+ new mentions in last 24 hours)

So the day is finally here, Harmony (ONE) open its trade at $0.01301 USD (4x IEO price) before skyrocketing as the crowd FOMOs in, driving it to an ATH of $0.02848 USD (8.9x IEO price) and cooling down to $0.01988 USD (6.2x IEO price). The crowd's excitement upon opening also saw the highest spike before dying down, which is usually a sign of weakness.

Those that were fortunate to get a lottery ticket got their ONE tokens at $0.00317 USD, which is even cheaper than what VCs bought in are now well in profit.

Some of the crowd's reactions:

During the pump

  • ONE ONE pumping ONE ☄☄moon
  • guys someone buy 2 billion token today 1 hour ago and that is 13% of all tokens, what do you think one will go :-D
  • tomorrow I will send you a photo with me in a lambo lol , one for ever 😎
  • One will increase overnight mark my words

During the dump

  • LUCKY BASTARDS WHO EVER RID ONE NOW RIDE TRX
  • I will wait for one to drop down 150
  • I don’t get why people holding one you made a fortune diverse your portfolio trx will pop
  • Whos dumping ONE😱😱😱😱

Bat/Brave (200+ new mentions in last 24 hours)

This week saw Brave reaching 150,000 verified publishers. That's a pretty impressive growth seeing how they just hit 80,000 verified publishers not long ago in April. That's a whopping 87.5% increase in just 1.5 months!

What about BAT holders? Well, that too is increasing, from 79,900+ at the start of the year to 145,800+ today. Things really accelerated from February onwards, with most of the holders falling into the 0.1 - 10,000 coins group. Which actually makes it a pretty healthy looking token distribution.

We also observed increased network activity since the start of the year. Daily active addresses saw an ATH of 8,000+ addresses interacting with the token on 05th May 2019 since BAT's genesis.

Taking a closer look, you'll notice that most of the addresses are non-speculative as only 5.78% of the daily active addresses are related to exchanges.

Besides the publishers growth, the crowd is highly supportive of Brave given the recent news of Chrome restricting adblock access to enterprise users only. Many see this as a great opportunity for Chrome users to switch over to Brave browser where ad blocking is built into its core.

Meanwhile, price continues to remain relatively stable and crowd mentions are mostly non-price related. No "moonbois", or people calling for pumps while chasing a top. Which is good, as the crowd's peak excitement + price rally usually signifies a local top. Just take a look at April this year.

Eos (1147+ new mentions in last 24 hours)

EOS finally revealed the much anticipated news surrounding Block.one's 1st June event:

  • Coinbase will be adding EOS to their Earn platform, allowing users to earn EOS tokens while learning about crypto.
  • Block.one CTO Dan Larimer reveals EOS VM - a new protocol that allows EOS to scale
  • Voice, a social media dApp

The announcement that got most people talking was about Voice. Some see it nothing new, just a recycle of Steem, a social media dApp that Dan Larimer abandoned. While others are hopeful that Voice could be a game changer, learning from the lessons of Steem, and being what it should have been.

Buy the rumour, sell the news continues to remain true as we saw a price decline of about -5.34% following the announcement. This small decline is actually not as thought given most "sell the news" scenarios see an immediate dump of around 20% or more.
