Here we'll focus on the new additions to today's list of Top Social Gainers in crypto, starting with:

Yoyo

Yoyow price rally

Yoyow had a nice rally since yesterday, reaching a high of $0.021948 today. While it dipped, it’s still up by 10.3% for the day. Needless to say, the sudden rise sent Telegram into “yoyo-phoria”.

Yoyo-phoria

Afri

Afri Schoedon’s sudden departure from Ethereum shocked many and even prompted an open letter to the Ethereum community, calling for end to threats and “toxic” behavior. It is rather significant considering that Afri is widely respected and have been a long time contributor to Ethereum.

It all began with Afri making a controversial tweet: “’Polkadot delivers what Serenity ought to be.’ Change my mind.”

Since then there been conflicts, debates and eventually harassment towards Afri that led him to announce his departure.

Rod

Someone submitted a bug report to Binance highlighting it as the cause for spam activity on the Nano network that has been happening over the past few weeks.

The NANO community has since debunked this bug report and it’s probably just a FUD attempt by someone named “Rod” and “Ty”.

Elon

Elon Musk, has gone public about his views on cryptocurrencies. In a podcast interview with ARK invest, Musk mentioned: “Paper money is going away and cryptocurrency is a far better way to transfer value than pieces of paper.”

On crypto being possibly useful for Tesla: “I think the Bitcoin structure is quite brilliant. There seems like there is some merit to Ethereum as well, and obviously others. But I’m not sure if it’s a good use of Tesla resources to get involved in cryptos.

Samsung/knox

Samsung announced in a press release on 20th Feb that their latest phone, “Galaxy S10 is built with defense-grade Samsung Knox, as well as a secure storage backed by hardware, which houses your private keys for blockchain-enabled mobile services.”

This was very well received by the crypto community, with many praising Samsung for being ahead of the curve and bringing crypto one step closer to mainstream.

Your move next, Apple.

As the thread grew, more NANO members came to tip others, great to see a community come together to pass it forward!

Cuban

What happens when you ask a friend to buy you a Cuban sandwich and pay him back via Venmo?

User 0xdeadfaced found out the hard way.

Turns out you may be flagged for suspicious activity and have to explain yourself in detail. This sparked an interesting discussion in r/Bitcoin with over 950 upvotes on how silly Venmo’s compliance system is questioning him over a simple Cuban sandwich.

Lesson here is to include more than just “Cuban” in your description when paying via Venmo!
