Here are today's biggest developing stories in crypto based on Santiment's data:

The Ethereum Name Service held a lengthy AMA on r/ethereum to promote the many updates coming to the ENS platform, including the migration to a permanent registrar and the upcoming availability of 3–6 character domains.

ENS is a DNS equivalent for the Ethereum blockchain. It allows users to register a unique domain name for their wallet address, allowing the transfer of funds to be made directly to a name (e.g. alice.eth) instead of an address (e.g. ‘0x4cbe58c50480...').

Among other things, the project was candid about its struggles with adoption, and said they’re still trying to convince major exchanges to implement ENS:

“We're working on them, but the best thing you can do is contact your exchanges and ask for ENS support, to show there's real demand from users.”

  • Cdt (150+ new mentions in last 36hrs)

Propelled by zero news or relevant announcements, CDT hit a 5-month high 297 Satoshi before retracing south:

“CDT comeback ? target 300”

“Cdt going to 230 or lower“

“I always lost my money when am follow s@$t coin like cdt“

While the reason for the pump remains unclear, some users pinned it on CDT sponsoring Coindesk’s upcoming Consensus event, which seems to have pumped some of its sponsors last year as well.

  • Btg (110+ new mentions in last 36hrs)

Bitcoin Gold becomes one of the most recent market leaders, as it records double-digit gains and almost breaks the $20 level.

The crowd’s reaction turned from jubilant to disheartened as the coin started dropping after hitting a 5-month-high $19.93:

“Btg to 30$ coming “

“BTG fake bounce. Careful “

“Btg is over. Time to go home.“

While the project’s been fairly quiet, some attribute its surge to a recently released Electrum G, marketed as “a light-weight, feature-rich, and user-friendly wallet for BTG”.

  • Icx (250+ new mentions in last 36hrs)

“What's the news on ICX?”

The crowd tries to piece together the latest ICON breakout, as the coin ballooned to a 5-month high $0.45 a few hours ago.

Some attribute the rally to recent tweet from the project, showing Seoul Citizens Hall using ICON’s blockchain to appoint members of its ‘Policy Communications Team’.

Others point out that ICX has been featured in several signal groups recently, which may have also contributed to its rise.

  • Zil (250+ new mentions in last 36hrs)

Last breakout coin that made waves today, Zilliqa improved to a 5-month high 510 Satoshi, leaving the crowd hyped for more:

“Zil is pumping 🚀 looking good“

“Zil and Chill - already broke resistance”

“Zil 540-570-600 soon”

While no immediate announcement has been made, some were quick to point out that the project has recently announced the end of the Bootstrap Phase, and their token swap is scheduled for late April.

Meanwhile, some ZIL holders started receiving phishing emails from a scam ‘project’ claimed to be backed by Zilliqa, Maker and ETH Foundation.
