Hello Sanfam 👋. Happy New Year to all of you. In this letter, I'll be sharing my crypto-trading journey. Started in Jun 2020 and here I am with the journey filled with times of profits, huge losses, and constant learning. In the initial stage of my journey, I used to learn the crypto space via YouTube influencers. I had invested in ETH. I was expecting higher prices of 5 digits influenced by the YouTube Influencers. I then realized that to be profitable I shouldn't depend on anyone. I then found Sanbase and started learning about On-Chain Data Analysis. Since then it's been a constant effort to learn and try to find alpha and a profitable trading strategy to grow my portfolio. I learned some concepts in Technical Analysis and found a decent trading Strategy of my own. Recently I have been learning more about how much risk should I take, adding positions to an existing trade, entry triggers, multiple take profit levels, exit triggers, stop loss level, and stop loss adjustments, and still learning. Through the whole year 2023, I have been trading live and had few successes and a lot of failures due to a lot of mistakes. Major challenges that I faced in growing my portfolio were risk management, how much % should I risk in a single trade, how many trades I could take with my portfolio at a single time since I had a cross-margin account in dydx, where to place the stop losses, how to avoid getting the trade closed by stop loss triggers leading to missing out profits, proper entry trigger, how to find proper take profit levels and how many take profit levels and how to judge the market direction correctly. Now I have gained a lot of knowledge from my huge losses. No regrets but I still with a lot of hope and belief that I can succeed and grow my portfolio which has declined almost 90%. I would love to have an expert as a personal mentor/guru, helping me grow my trading skills and guiding me in the market to successfully grow my portfolio. I have found alpha in On-Chain Data Analysis after a lot of learning research and homework via Sanbase Platform's On-Chain Data metrics which I'll be sharing here in this letter. So Enjoy it.
