200K BTC in Bulgarian reserves? Unfortunately no

There were some news articles posted claiming that Bulgaria is allegedly sitting on a vast amount of BTC wealth which it is holding in reserves. The country acquired the 200,000 BTC during operation PRATKA when it seized the cryptocurrency from criminal enterprises in Macedonia, Greece, Romania, and Serbia.

It appeared to be fake news.

Authorities didn't seize any bitcoin, they only found evidence that a 'criminal group' moved up to 200K coins as part of their activities. Source:
